Our story

The making
never stops.

Do you remember the last time you made something just because it made you happy?

Not for an outcome. Not for a reason. Just because your hands wanted to and your heart said yes.

I do. And I never want to stop.

Blu Butterfly started with me — in a small corner, with some raw materials, support of few friends and frustration — that the world keeps telling grown-ups to be serious. To be productive. To have a purpose for everything they do.

I disagreed.

I also know what it feels like to have ideas without room for them to grow.

Blu Butterfly is partly a response to that — a place where creativity doesn't have to justify itself.

So I started making things. Candles that smell like slow mornings. Jewellery that catches light in the way a child would notice first. Home pieces that have no grand function except to make a corner of your world feel like yours.

And then I picked up pottery. And tried resin. And started pressing flowers. And painting. And then texture art and beading!

And the making kept growing — because that's what happens when you stop asking "why am I doing this?" and start asking "what do I want to make next?"

Turns out the answer is always something new. Always something a little more ridiculous. Something always joyous. Always something worth making.

That restlessness is this brand. The joy of learning something new and putting it into something you can hold.

A portion of every sale goes toward animal welfare — toward the people quietly doing the hard work of caring for animals who have no one.

It's a small thing I can do consistently. And small things, done consistently, add up.

I also believe that beautiful things are being made in corners of this country that most people never see. By hands that have learned craft the slow, real way. When I find those people, I want to put their work here — where it can be seen, bought, and valued.

That's what this platform will become, slowly.

Maybe one day there's a piece of land. With animals on it who needed a home — strays, the sick, the ones nobody came back for. A little chaotic and a lot alive.

Blu Butterfly is how I get there. One handmade, joyful, slightly ridiculous thing at a time.

We'll see.

If you're someone who carries a lot — who holds the job, keeps everything moving, runs the house — and somewhere inside there's still a version of you who used to collect pretty stones and press flowers in books and watch butterflies like they were the most important thing in the world —

This is for her.
For the Her Still In You.

Welcome to Blu Butterfly.
